The Content Strategy Track: the Content Management System meets its purpose!
This year, DrupalCon Europe will include a dedicated track on Content Strategy. Let me explain why this is exciting news and a unique opportunity!
Content Strategy has been around for several years now. It defines how we create, manage and maintain quality content that is used to obtain our project goals or answer user needs.
If you’re reading this, you are likely very familiar with Drupal as the leading professional Content Management System and framework.
Now on occasions, 1 + 1 = 3. Combining the best content practices with this great technology we all work on, with lift both areas to higher levels. The Drupal community is starting to look at the bigger picture of web projects and a powerful CMS definitely has a key role to play in a sound content strategy. So let’s not miss that opportunity.
Ok, but why should I be excited?
Well, content strategy puts content at the center of an organization. That content will need to be managed, leading to an increased need for a professional content management solutions. Getting to know content strategy will also bring us closer to our clients. So content strategy is both a growth area as well as an opportunity to deliver better CMS solutions.
I know all about Content Strategy but less about Drupal. Is this track (and event) also for me?
Sure! You will benefit from the knowledge sharing at the event, while you have the great opportunity to get known in the Drupal community as a subject matter expert. Have you considered submitting a session?
How do I propose a session?
- First of all, think about a good topic. Feel free to take a look at the Track Description for ideas. If you’re not sure how to structure your submission, check our tips on how to get your session selected.
- Next submit your ideas on our event site. We’ll take it from there!
- Note that time is pressing:
- The call for content closes on 8 June midnight CEST
- Session selection will happen from 8-20 June
- Selected sessions will be announced 28 June
We only regret the chances we didn’t take
